Pensions | Life Assurance | Wellbeing

We offer a pension through Royal London where we match contributions from 5% to 8%.

Maternity Leave

We offer enhanced maternity pay after the first 6 weeks of SMP of 6 weeks’ pay at 90% and 12 weeks’ pay at 50% for those who meet the eligible criteria.

Assisted conception support is offered with paid time off (up to 3 days per cycle) under our Fertility Policy for those undergoing treatment.

Paternity Pay

We offer four weeks of enhanced paternity leave at full pay for those who meet the eligible criteria.
This can be taken in blocks of at least one week and at any time in the first year after the date of childbirth or placement.

Holiday | Long Service

We offer 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays) with extra days awarded after three, five and ten years of service. We also offer the opportunity to purchase up to 1 week’s additional holiday per year.

Colleagues who achieve 20 years’ service with us are recognised with a £1,000 voucher.

Travel | Social | Referral Scheme

Vacancy – PSL – Landlord & Tenant Team

The Landlord & Tenant team at Bishop & Sewell are looking to recruit a professional support lawyer to assist them in the growth and development of this industry leading team.

The successful candidate is likely to be at least seven to 10 years plus PQE will have a particular focus and expertise in land registry applications and interactions including requisitions, stamp duty land tax, property taxes generally and developmental support in terms of departmental process. Knowledge and experience of leasehold enfranchisement would be a distinct advantage but may not be a prerequisite if considered alongside other relevant technical excellence and expertise.

The role will also involve supporting in the preparation of the legal 500 and Chambers & Partners submissions for the department along with coordinating team learning and departmental relations.

The role is like to be part-time or consultancy basis and may also involve some fee earning work as may suit the successful candidate. The exact terms and hours to be discussed but we envisage a commitment of 1-2 days per week.
