Maternity Leave

We offer enhanced maternity pay after the first 6 weeks of SMP of 6 weeks’ pay at 90% and 12 weeks’ pay at 50% for those who meet the eligible criteria.

Assisted conception support is offered with paid time off (up to 3 days per cycle) under our Fertility Policy for those undergoing treatment.

Paternity Pay

We offer four weeks of enhanced paternity leave at full pay for those who meet the eligible criteria.
This can be taken in blocks of at least one week and at any time in the first year after the date of childbirth or placement.

Holiday | Long Service

We offer 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays) with extra days awarded after three, five and ten years of service. We also offer the opportunity to purchase up to 1 week’s additional holiday per year.

Colleagues who achieve 20 years’ service with us are recognised with a £1,000 voucher.

Travel | Social | Referral Scheme

We have a Bike to Work scheme that also offers savings on the purchase of a new bike and the opportunity to pay in instalments   We also provide on-site bike racks, shower facilities and lockers to use.

We are looking for trainee solicitors, but also future solicitors and partners. Therefore, we look to retain our trainee solicitors upon qualification where possible.

We provide our trainee solicitors with varied and hands-on training in a supportive environment, ensuring that their legal knowledge, confidence, and skills develop as they complete each of their seats. The qualifying work experience is usually split into four separate seats of approximately 6 months – although training in a seat may be extended beyond the usual 6-month period subject to the needs of the business – in 4 of the following teams:

  • Residential Property
  • Landlord and Tenant
  • Commercial Property
  • Family
  • Litigation
  • Company Commercial
  • Private Client

Process

Our selection process includes a written assessment followed by an interview for those that successfully complete the written assessment. We are looking for one trainee to commence with us on or around 1 April 2025 and two trainees to commence with us on or around 1 October 2025.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from candidates who have gained a 2:1 or higher degree classification.

For those wishing to qualify via the LPC route you will need to have successfully completed the LPC. For those wishing to qualify through the SQE route you must have successfully completed SQE 1 and SQE 2 and if you have undertaken a non-law degree completion of the PGDL will be required.
