The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill is now working its way through parliament, providing welcome details about how the Government will tackle leasehold reform.

Following from the popularity of our last Leasehold Question Time webinar on 23 November 2023, we’re aware that many Leaseholders still have lots of questions about how the reforms will affect them and what action they should take.

To help address these questions, Bishop & Sewell will host a second legal webinar to provide leaseholders further information about the implications of the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill.

Delivered by Partners Mark Chick and Chris Macartney from the firm’s renowned Landlord and Tenant team, the free online webinar ‘What proposed reforms mean for leaseholders – Part II’ will take place on Thursday 11 January 2024 between 5pm and 6pm.

Modern residential apartment development.

Mark Chick, Senior Partner and Head of the Landlord and Tenant team at Bishop & Sewell, said: “The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill provides some welcome substance about the next phase of leasehold reform and whilst it looks as though the Government is keen to progress the Bill, there is still much to talk about, and it is not clear to many leaseholders what action they should take.

“This webinar – aimed primarily at leaseholders – will provide essential information about the implications of these proposed reforms, while addressing the question of what leaseholders who are currently pursuing enfranchisement claims, or intend to do so in the near future, should do in practical terms.”

There will also be plenty of opportunity for delegates to ask questions and gain expert advice from our leasehold specialists. Further information about the webinar and information on how to book a place can be found here.

We look forward to welcoming you to the webinar.
