Business leaders and HR professionals can gain valuable insights into perfecting workplace policies during a free seminar hosted by employment law experts from legal firm Bishop & Sewell.
The online webinar ‘Practical Perfect Policies’ will take place on Wednesday 25 January 2023 from 9:30am – 10:30am.
Delivered by Rhian Radia, Partner and Head of the Employment team, and Solicitor Marianne Johnson, the webinar will take attendees back to basics, with a focus on ensuring HR paperwork and policies are fit for purpose for 2023 and beyond.
Rhian said: “With the news that Employment Tribunal cases in England and Wales are being pushed back as far as mid-2024 as the system struggles with the aftermath of the pandemic, it is vital that businesses ensure compliance with relevant legislation to avoid the cost and disruption of being taken to a Tribunal which could be several years down the road. With delay, come cost and wasted management time.
“HR documentation is vital to support the employment relationship and HR processes. A papertrail and HR records are invaluable to demonstrate legal compliance and to assist with defending any potential disputes that may arise.
“This seminar is aimed at business owners, directors and HR teams, and will cover best practice on a range of policies including disciplinary, grievance and equal opportunities policies, as well as policies covering social media, whistleblowing, sickness absence, bullying and harassment, and we’ll also explore the key components of an effective employment contract.”
