London-based law firm Bishop & Sewell has announced a number of senior promotions as it continues to recognise and reward its talented people.

Three lawyers have been promoted in recognition of their efforts to support the continued success of the firm over the last year and the excellent legal counsel they provide to clients.

Mariya Thomas, a residential property solicitor who specialises in all aspects of residential property matters, including sales, purchases and re-mortgages of freehold and leasehold property, has been promoted to Senior Associate.

Solicitor Karina Kapur has been named an Associate in the firm’s highly-regarded Landlord and Property team.  Karina acts on behalf of both landlords and tenants, specialising in all aspects of leasehold reform, including enfranchisement and the extension of leases of houses and flats, as well as other Landlord & Tenant matters

In the Corporate and Commercial team, Andrew Kavanagh has been promoted to General Member. Andrew advises financial institutions, family offices and specialised lenders and has extensive experience in advising clients on complex and high value projects.
