Karma has a particular interest and expertise in international surrogacy and intercountry adoption cases, as well as complex citizenship and European matters.
Chambers & Partners has recommended Karma as an ‘Associate to Watch’ for several years. In the current rankings, their review included “She was absolutely brilliant on every level, her work was exemplary.”
She has also been listed in the Legal 500, where she has been described as “positive and confident”, and “impressive in her fast and comprehensive command of the facts and in her ability to narrow down and focus on the main issues”.
Karma delivers training for MBL Seminars on British citizenship law and on surrogacy matters in an immigration context.
She provides pro-bono immigration advice on a regular basis at sessions hosted by the UK Lesbian & Gay Immigration Group.
Karma qualified as a solicitor in 2012, after training for two years at Fisher Meredith, where she remained until its merger with Bishop & Sewell in August 2017. While completing her legal studies, she worked part-time at the immigration team of a well-known London legal aid firm specialising in civil liberties.
Interests: in my free time, I can usually be found either at soft play with my young son, or playing Overwatch online.
Alternative career choice: before embarking on my legal career, I had another life in Italy for many years, where I worked as a newswire journalist, translator and bar manager.
