Bishop & Sewell’s Senior Partner Mark Chick was the surprise recipient of a prestigious industry award at the annual Apartment Adviser Awards.
The awards, which incorporate the ERMAs, recognise excellence across the sector. All of the awards are entered into and shortlisted apart from one – the Outstanding Contribution Award. This award is chosen to honour an individual whose influence, expertise and dedication have helped shape the leasehold and apartment sector over many years.
The winner this year was our own Mark Chick for his ‘truly outstanding contribution to the industry as a whole’.
Presenting the award, actor, comedian, author and broadcaster Dominic Holland said: “As Senior Partner and Head of the Landlord & Tenant team at Bishop & Sewell, he has spent nearly two decades building one of the UK’s most respected specialist practices – guiding clients, mentoring professionals, and setting standards across the sector.
“He is also a founding committee member and director of ALEP, the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners – an organisation that has played a pivotal role in raising professionalism and best practice across enfranchisement work.
“His contribution goes far beyond his own practice. Through consultations, speaking engagements, and his ongoing involvement in industry groups, he has consistently helped shape thinking, influence policy, and support both professionals and leaseholders alike.
“He is a trusted voice on landlord and tenant matters, his expertise is widely respected – and his impact, undeniable.”
Congratulations Mark on this extremely well-deserved award – we are all very proud of you!
