London law firm Bishop & Sewell LLP has won the accolade of ‘Large Business of the Year’ at the Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Business Awards 2024.

The prestigious awards celebrate the vibrant and diverse range of businesses in Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster and from across wider London.

At the awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 17 October at Porchester Hall, London, Bishop & Sewell beat off stiff competition from businesses including Harrods, Peter Jones and The Lansdowne Club, to take top spot in the Large Business of the Year category, which celebrates the achievements of organisations with more than 50 employees.

Founded in 1979, Bishop & Sewell is a full-service law firm based in Bloomsbury. Mergers in 2018 and again in 2021 have resulted in a well-established and highly regarded central London law firm with an international reach focusing on five core areas of the law: Property, Private Client, Corporate & Commercial, Litigation and Family.

David Little, Partner and Head of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team, attended the ceremony and presented the award for Outstanding Team.

David said: “We are delighted to be awarded with this prestigious award which demonstrates our success in evolving as a business in recent years, while maintaining our aspirations to serve our clients.

“The firm continues to go from strength-to-strength and its reputation has grown considerably. Thanks to the strategies we have put in place to grow the business, including our successful mergers, the integration of new hybrid working models, the implementation of cutting-edge technology, the recruitment of talented people into key positions, and our focused strategic marketing and communications campaigns, we have achieved sustained growth, while ensuring the continuity of excellent client services.

“Our thanks to the Chamber of Commerce and the awards sponsors for hosting an inspirational event and congratulations to all the other finalists.”
