Our employment law experts delivered the fourth in a series of online employment webinars on Wednesday 25th January. Delivered by Rhian Radia, Partner and Head of the Employment team, and Solicitor Marianne Johnson, the webinar aimed to take attendees back to basics, with a focus on ensuring HR paperwork and policies are fit for purpose for 2023 and beyond.

Rhian said: “With the news that Employment Tribunal cases in England and Wales are being pushed back as far as mid-2024 as the system struggles with the aftermath of the pandemic, it is vital that businesses ensure compliance with relevant legislation to avoid the cost and disruption of being taken to a Tribunal which could be several years down the road. With delay, come cost and wasted management time.

“HR documentation is vital to support the employment relationship and HR processes. A papertrail and HR records are invaluable to demonstrate legal compliance and to assist with defending any potential disputes that may arise.

“This free seminar provided business leaders and HR professionals with valuable insights into perfecting workplace policies, covering best practice on a range of policies including disciplinary, grievance and equal opportunities policies, as well as policies covering social media, whistleblowing, sickness absence, bullying and harassment.”
