Her clients commend the clear, concise and well-informed advice she gives on estate planning and the tax landscape that affects it. She is an expert in the creation and running of trusts.
Her client base includes UK taxpayers, non-domiciled individuals and entities, and charities. She is often called upon to advise clients working with experts in our other Teams on the tax landscape as it impacts on transactions they are contemplating.
Gina is also skilled in advising in relation to international estates and off-shore trusts, and the issues that arise in respect of both.
She relishes helping individuals protect and maximise family wealth and assets, both in the present and for the future, through effective lifetime tax planning and estate administration. Gina is sometimes asked by clients to act as an executor, and has many years of experience in the winding-up of estates and in acting for executors. This is often a difficult and stressful time for those left behind, and she does so with the utmost tact, clarity and professionalism.
Gina trained and initially worked after qualifying at Gateley Wareing. Before joining Bishop and Sewell LLP, she was an assistant at Edge Ellison (1990 -1993) and then a partner at Baxters (1992 – 1997) and Clyde & Co (1997 – 2003).
Gina is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). STEP is a worldwide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. The Society helps to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.
Gina loves gardening. She divides her time between London and her home in the West Midlands.
