Employment News - Update

The Employment Team has produced a Newsletter detailing recent changes in Employment Law such as:

 Changes to Rates

  • Minimum wage limits have increased
  • A week's pay for purposes of compension and redundancy is now £380

Retirement

  • Retirement age of 65 is still lawful

Holiday Leave

  • Holiday leave entitlement does accrue even when an employee is on sick leave

Redundancy

  • 'Last in first out' can be used as a criteria for redundancy.
