Mark Chick Speaks At Enfranchisement & Lease Extension Masterclass

Mark Chick spoke at the Central Law Training (CLT) Enfranchisement and Lease Extension Masterclass held at the Devere Holborn Bars Venue on 25th April 2013. Other speakers included Anna Favre from Pemberton Greenish, Tom Jeffries from Landmark Chambers, Frances Joyce from WA Ellis and James Souter from Speechly Bircham along with Nicholas Kissen from LEASE and Piers Harrison from Tanfield Chambers.

Delegates discussed a number of interesting topics including the continuing question of what constitutes a house under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967, including the recent case of Henley v Cohen and the decisions in Hosebay and Lexgorge.

Mark was speaking on the topic of ‘What Property Can be Acquired in Enfranchisement Cases?’ There was also a discussion on development value and another favourite of ours, missing landlord cases.
